I trained as an Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapist at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in Little Venice, London, completing a four-year postgraduate Diploma Programme. Prior to that I completed a year’s training in the fundamentals of counselling with the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology.
I have completed parts 1, 2 and 3 in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), recommended as treatment for Trauma and found to be helpful for numerous other conditions, including addiction, phobias, grief and mourning and chronic pain.
My adult life began as an architect in South Africa and I subsequently studied fine art in the UK. Prior to studying psychotherapy I worked as an artist, participating in a variety of creative projects. I have in-depth experience of the creative process and working with creative individuals. Training as a psychotherapist has been a natural outcome of a life-long interest in the psycho-spiritual and transpersonal fields of experience.
